GST Calculation Formula

GST Exclusive (Adding GST):
GST Amount = (Original Cost × GST Rate%) / 100
Total Amount = Original Cost + GST Amount

GST Inclusive (Removing GST):
GST Amount = Total Amount - [Total Amount × {100/(100 + GST Rate%)}]
Original Amount = Total Amount - GST Amount

Frequently Asked Questions About GST

Businesses with annual turnover exceeding ₹40 lakhs (₹20 lakhs for special category states) in supply of goods, or ₹20 lakhs (₹10 lakhs for special category states) for services, must register for GST. E-commerce operators and casual taxable persons also need registration regardless of turnover.
